After a week of dropping hints on his blog, Kanye West let some more information out yesterday on his blog about an upcoming tour starring himself, NERD, Lupe Fiasco and Rihanna.
The tour, titled Glow In The Dark, will happen some time this year and there’s already rumours of an Australian stopover, IWTB HQ will keep you updated on further developments.

Parkway Drive, Surf Rat Tour

In March / April of 2006 Parkway Drive embarked on a 30 date national all ages tour, aptly titled the All Ages Assault Tour, passing through regional cities and towns which seldom get touring bands.
February 2008 will see them return with the same approach on the Surf Rat Tour, again all shows will be all ages and in regional and suburban areas. The tour will be rippin’ through the likes of Cooma, Wangaratta, Wagga Wagga, Sutherland, Coffs Harbour, Townsville and many more as well as an appearance at the MS Fest in Tasmania.
Getting barrelled with Parkway Drive will be fellow Byron Bay grommets 50 Lions. Surfs up!

Groovin The Moo, back in 08

Cattleyard Promotions is pleased to announce regional music festival, Groovin the Moo will return to the town of Maitland on Saturday April 26 2008.

After the success of last year which included the addition of a Dance tent, a stellar line up of Australian and International Artists AND tickets to the festival selling out one full month before the festival date, tickets to this years event are not expected to be available for long!
Groovin the Moo Maitland will once again be calling Maitland Showground ‘Home’, however this year both the festival and the venue will be sporting an exciting new layout with the addition of many more on site facilities.
The full Groovin the Moo line up as well as complete ticketing information will be announced on Triple J Radio and www.groovinthemoo.com on Monday 4 February, with tickets going on sale Monday February 11. While nothing more can be said until February 4, let’s just say the line includes some of this countries hottest DJ and electronica acts as well as a spectacular line up for the two main stages…

Coachella 2008

Coachella is quite literally one of the biggest annual music festivals in the world, it’s easily up there with Glastonbury, SXSW, Reading and our own Big Day Out. Each April thousands upon thousands of music fans arrive in the town of Indio, California, for three days of rock, hip-hop and electronica music. By all accounts it’s an awesome experience and well worth the trip.

At a press conference 2 days ago in Mexico City the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Coachella, the lineup for the 2008 festival was announced. Here’s what you could see if you manage to get yourself over to Coachella;

Big Day Out - Transport Info

Extra trains are operating to help people get to and from this year’s Big Day Out to be held on Friday 25th January at Sydney Olympic Park.
Getting There: - Direct services are operating from Central, Redfern and Strathfield stations to Olympic Park Station, departing approximately every ten minutes between 10am and 2.30pm.
Customers travelling from the North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Illawarra, Airport & East Hills lines after 2.30pm, will need to travel to Lidcombe to catch the Olympic Park Sprint service.
The Olympic Park Sprint departs Lidcombe to Olympic Park Station every ten minutes between 10am and 1am the next morning.
Additionally, special Big Day Out trains are operating direct to Olympic Park departing from the following stations:
- Campbelltown Station at 9.47am, 10.20am and 10.50am
- Newcastle Station at 7.10am
- Wyong Station at 8.31am
Getting Home: - To avoid long queues after the event, buy a return ticket to Olympic Park Station on your way to Big Day Out.
Plenty of services are running after the event to help people get home with direct services departing Olympic Park Station to Lidcombe, Strathfield, Redfern and Central stations from 8pm.
No direct intercity services are departing Olympic Park Station. Passengers will need to change at Lidcombe, Strathfield or Central stations for connecting services.
