Hypercolor is back, umm yay?
Filed Under Fashion | Leave a Comment
There’s a saying that I can’t quite remember properly, it’s along the lines of ‘everything old will be new again’. Well someone at American Apparel must’ve heard the same saying and has given life to another trend from the past, hypercolor t shirts.
Here’s the details from the American Apparel website;
Our ultralight Sheer Jersey T-shirt, made with a temperature sensitive pigment that changes between two colors - one when cold, one when warm.
- 100% Sheer Jersey cotton, combed for softness and comfort
- Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight
- To extend the life of this novelty garment, wash with like-colors in cold water, dry low or air dry
- Coming Soon: Hyper Fast-Black

This years Groovin the Moo festival had it all, fun, sun, mud, bands and people ready to party. Along with all that came the fashion gurus with the latest in chic fashion accessories from sunnies to watches. Leading up to the festival, Maitland had over 260mm of rainfall, which also brought with it a mountain of mud.
So this year the fashion conscious had another accessory to throw in the mix, the good old humble Aussie gumboot. As soon as I walked in the gate though I knew that this was going to be no ordinary festival. The gallery below is a tribute to all the different styles of gumboots that were around.
Word has it that you couldnt find a boot to be bought anywhere withing coo-ee of maitland on the friday before the festival. Despite that there were gumboots of every style, shape and colour. Some had been painted, others were modified but those who already owned their trusty gumboots must have just grabbed them out of the cupboard ready for the day at Groovin The Mud.
