Roller Derby has arrived in Newcastle

Newcastle Roller Derby League is having an Information Day on 21 March 2009 from 2:30 -4:30pm at The Forum at Newcastle University, to introduce our league and roller derby to the people of Newcastle. Features of the night will include a live demonstration by Sydney Roller Derby League. This event will be loud, bright, bold, tough and crazy. There will also be an introduction to Newcastle Roller Derby League and its members, merchandise, raffles and info pack handouts.

Newcastle Roller Derby League is a not-for-profit organisation, run by the skaters for the skaters. It is dedicated to promoting sport over spectacle as well as developing and promoting the sport of women’s Flat Track Roller Derby by facilitating the development of athletic ability, sports womanship and goodwill among league members.

Roller derby is not just a sport, it’s an art form and this event will showcase the creativity and fun that the sport embodies.
