In the lamest thing to happen since sliced bread, Waterview have today announced that they’re calling it quits as a band. In a brief statement on their myspace the boys say;
“So after 3 years or more of shows and fun times, it’s time for Waterview to hang up the boots and call it a day.
We made heaps of great friends over the years and don’t regret one second of it.
We made it to #1 on Triple J Unearthed.
Won their comp and played Come Together.
Got US airplay aswell as our own Triple J shows Home and Hosed and SFL.
Played countless shows with awesome bands and released our own EP followed by a demo earlier this year.
We’d like to thank everyone who ever came to a show or liked our band, we love you all.

I’ve personally been a fan of the band since I first saw them a couple of years back, and I’ll be sad to know that we’re not going to get to hear all the new stuff they’ve been working on. Anyway I’m sure all the guys will be back in some form or another in the future.
