Handpicked from the Australian music scene, Felicity Urquhart, Kevin Bennett and Karl Broadie make a formidable group to have on one stage but add the super talent of USA’s Kim Richey and you have an eclectic blend of amazing voices and songs that would be the envy of any world stage. Add this the fact that these talented artists write their own songs and you will have an evening where you see behind the emotion of the song to the moment of inspiration and creation.

Kim Richey is no stranger to many of the more discerning music fans and is one of those very fortunate USA composers that can be “in” the business of song writing. This lady can really sing and has been the choice for a lot of Aussies who visit the States looking for that elusive hit and longing for the opportunity to draw inspiration from writing with her. Kim is visiting Australia to perform at the Apollo Bay Music Festival and when asked who she would like to be on the road with she chose the three artists above.

To fit a tour in Kim’s tight schedule meant only 5 opportunities to see this unique performance.

Felicity Urquhart, well known personality from Ch 7’s Sydney Weekender, had the pleasure of co-writing with Richey and has added one of their songs to her new album Landing Lights. That amazing moment of two songwriters on the one stage to sing the song as it should be sung will be special. The fact that they both have extraordinary vocals is a bonus.

Kevin Bennett needs no introduction. KB, the writer/singer for The Flood, is an Australian icon. The respect for his talent cannot be disputed, his uncompromising approach to his music and “the business” is what makes ‘Flood’ fans remain for ever, assured of the fact that they will get 100% every time. His music touches the soul with his amazing vocal ability and you feel the true belief.

Scottish, Karl Broadie, may have settled in Australia but he is another songwriter who has made the pilgrimage to the US to write with Kim Richey and there are two co-writes on his new album “Branches” due for release in May this year. With his mesmerising vocals each performance becomes a personal journey that his growing legion of fans and critics keep coming back to.

This amazing group share many co-writes so there is no doubt it will be a night to remember – a unique opportunity to attend a gig you will feel privileged to say “I was there”!
