According to the Telegraph, 2009 will be the year of the Electro Queens. We can all expect bigger things from the likes of Lady GaGa, and a vast number of same-sounding clones.
It is the time of year when critics and pundits are called upon to nominate the next big thing. Scouring lists of newcomers to watch out for, a definite theme begins to emerge: 2009 will not just belong to the fairer sex, but she will probably be wearing kinky boots, long tresses and, in all likelihood, playing a synth. Skinny boys with guitars, however, would be well advised to consider their employment options.
